PCEssentials Hormone Therapy Study

If you have prostate cancer and your doctor has recommended androgen deprivation therapy or hormone therapy, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) would like to invite you to take part in a research study.

What is involved?

The participants of this study will receive one of two types of support.

  1. Support from a nurse, during four telehealth sessions over three months, and a final session at six months.
  2. A package of resources containing:
    • information about androgen deprivation therapy or hormone therapy to treat prostate cancer
    • advice about referral to support services

All participants will be followed up by the study team at three, six and 12 months after they join the study.

This study will run from November 2022 to December 2024.
